Loyola Club Running is Loyola's newest Club Sports Team. We are on our second year as an official Club team and are continuing to grow each year! Do I have to go to every race?
No, not all runners have to compete. We give everyone the option to if they are interested.
How do I compete?
All runners interested in competing must let one of the coaches know two weeks prior to the race date to allow for them to register for races and plan relays.
Does Loyola Club Running do any sprinter workouts?
Yes! During the Spring season we focus on sprinter work. On Mondays and Wednesdays we travel to Goucher track. We provide sprinter workouts for every practice during the Spring.
Is practice held in rain?
Yes, practice happens rain, snow, or shine. If the university is closed, we will not have practice.
Are practices mandatory?
No, practices aren't mandatory but it is strongly encouraged that you attend to get the best experience.
If I join, do I have to compete?
No, you can join and come to practice just to run and stay in shape. It is totally up to you.
How long is practice typically?
It depends on the season, but most practices will last no more than 2 hours and typically take between an hour to an hour and a half.
Is Loyola Club Running too intense for me?
No! We welcome all levels of ability to our team. Everyone will be able to find someone going their pace. Workouts can be adjusted based on your ability.
